Our conceptual design work with Italy based Sintagma on Kadikoy – Sultanbeyli metro line was shortlisted to the finals of Plan Awards in Italy.
The Plan Award is one of the most prestigious design awards in Italy. It is created and promoted by the Plan to disseminate knowledge of and improve the quality of the work done by designers, academics, critics and students in the architecture, design and city planning fields, thereby promoting debate on topical design and planning themes.
The project is a full member of the rail transport planning of the city of Istanbul. At 18.8 km long, Kadikoy – Sultanbeyli metro line (KSM) includes 7 stations. The KSM line is a branch of the subway line which starts from the “European” area and is connected to the “Asian” one, passing under the narrow of Bosphorus and up to “Altunizade.
Entire design services of the project are being delivered by Prota and Italian based Sintagma using BIM (building information modeling) technology.
